How well do mobile air purifiers work?
When: Wednesday 16 Nov At 9.00-12.00 (morning snack from 8.30)
Where: Ingeniørhuset in Copenhagen or online.
Participation is free.
Air pollution is one of Danes' biggest risk factors, and since we spend most of our lives indoors, the sale of mobile air purifiers to improve the air quality in our homes has increased significantly in recent years. But how well do different air purifiers work, and how much do the air purifiers reduce the amount of air pollution we inhale? How effective are the air cleaners compared to hoods, ventilation and mechanical ventilation? Are air purifiers effective at removing viruses? Can some air purifiers themselves produce problematic substances? Get answers to a number of these questions when the Danish Technological Institute, Forbrugerrådet Tænk and the Green Transition Denmark present results from laboratory tests of 28 different mobile air purifiers – and tests of 8 air purifiers in a private home. The tests and the meeting are financed by the philanthropic association Realdania and the Landowners Investment Fund through the project Mobile air purifiers – how well do they work?
The meeting is organized by IDA Green Technology, the Council for Green Omstilling, Forbrugerrådet Tænk and the Technological Institute in collaboration with IDA Miljø, IDA Byg, IDA Sundhedsteknologi and AstmaAllergi Danmark.
