Are the EU's goals in line with the Paris Agreement?

Green Transition Denmark invites a debate on the EU's ambitions and efforts to reach the Paris Agreement's goal of a maximum of 1,5 degrees.

When: Saturday 18 June at 10.30-11.00
Where: The Climate and Energy Tent (C34) at Folkemødet, Bornholm

At COP 26, the countries of the world committed to each other before this year's climate conference – COP27 in Cairo – to step up global climate action. The EU has announced that it will not increase the overall climate targets ahead of COP27. But is it fair, do we raise our share with a 55% reduction in 2030 – and is net-zero in 2050 enough time? If not the EU, who is the arrow pointing up? And what role does the EU play today in the international climate negotiations?

The debate meeting is organized by the Green Transition Denmark with support from the European Council.
