Conference: A Protein Shift for a Resilient Future – Depolarising the Debate

In light of the upcoming Danish EU Presidency in July 2025, the Green Transition Denmark, in collaboration with the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), invites you to an afternoon of dialogue and transition. We bring together key players from across the value chain – from agriculture and civil society to experts and decision-makers – to discuss how the EU can promote a fair and sustainable diversification of protein sources that creates value for people, nature and animals in Europe.

The event will focus on the Danish tripartite agreement between agriculture and environmental organizations as an example of how collaboration can pave the way for new solutions. Through two panel debates, we will first look at agricultural production and the impact of the nutrient cycle on the environment and health, and then turn our attention to consumption, dietary habits and the Danish action plan for plant-based foods.

With this program, we want to create common understanding and inspiration for how we can strengthen the resilience of the food system and promote health, sustainability and European action through dialogue, political action and anchoring in both agriculture and consumption.

The conference is organized in collaboration between the Danish Green Transition Denmark and the European Environmental Bureau (EEB). The conference will be held in English.

Time: Monday the May 26 from 13.00:17.00 PM – XNUMX:XNUMX PM
