The EU's green consumer – can and will we make climate-friendly choices?

When: Thursday 10 Nov. At 9.00-10.00
Where: online/Zoom

To that extent, the EU has put the focus on the consumer in climate change – we must dress up to consume more climate-friendly. An important part of this is the so-called Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which sets new and far more ambitious requirements for products' climate footprint and requires companies to make information about their products' climate footprint available to us consumers.

But how good news for the climate is the ESPR really? Is it a realistic plan or just good intentions? What will the ESPR demand from both small and large companies – and how will they be equipped for it? And is it even the right way to go in relation to creating behavioral changes among consumers?

Guests: Vagn Jelsøe from Forbrugerrådet Tænk, Anders Rhiger Hansen, climate behavior researcher from Aalborg University and Louise Bünemann, head of EU environmental policy at DI.
