From iron fields to energy democracy
How do we create an energy transition that citizens can see themselves as an active part of? That is the theme of this event at the Climate People's Meeting in Middelfart in August.
The conversation addresses one of the big explosive green issues in the municipal election campaign about resistance and mobilization in relation to renewable energy. Can new municipal strategies, local ownership and value creation, as well as frameworks for negotiation and co-creation reduce polarization and accelerate the transition?
Panelists:
– Simon Westergaard Lex, UCPH
– Stine Skøtt Thomsen, leader of Skårup's Sustainable Energy Community on Funen
– Laila Kildesgaard, Places Create People
– Nanna Bonde, local engagement manager, European Energy
– Signe Bak Jørgensen, project manager at Energy City Skive
