Hormone-disrupting substances can harm children and fetuses and increase the risk of cancer. Nevertheless, many endocrine-disrupting substances are found in our environment and are allowed in many products. Fortunately, after 15 years of a foot-dragging approach, the EU finally seems to be moving on this agenda with a revision of the EU's chemicals legislation. What is head and tail in this process, and can we be sure of being able to have an everyday life free of hormone-disrupting substances?
