Much is currently at stake for the green transformation of the airline industry. In the EU, negotiations are in full swing on how we are to achieve the climate target of 55 percent CO2-reduction in 2030. And precisely here, the planes with their climate footprint are one of the decisive issues, where there is great disagreement about, for example, mixing requirements with eKerosen and biofuels, taxes and quotas. So what can be gained for the climate in the negotiations and what can be lost? And what will this mean for the consumer? We take a closer look at this in the first part of our debate series on the EU and the green transition.
Senior advisor Jeppe Juul has worked with green transition in the transport sector for many years. This morning, he gives a status on the matter of the controversial planes and kicks off the debate.
