OCEAN CONFERENCE 2025: Good state of the ocean – Will our oceans recover?
ALL PLACES ARE TAKEN - A WAITING LIST HAS BEEN CREATED
The sea suffers. Nutrients from agriculture and chemicals from industry and waste water are some of the major sources of the poor state of the ocean.
The EU's Water Framework Directive must ensure a good ecological and chemical condition in coastal waters throughout the EU by 2027 at the latest, but Denmark still does not meet the requirements. The tripartite agreement will reduce nitrogen emissions into the marine environment, and the Danish action plan for PFAS must reduce chemical pressure. But is it enough and can we end up with a breach of the EU's Water Framework Directive?
Time: Wednesday 22 January 2025 at 12:30-17:00
Place: The community hall at Christiansborg
Host of the conference: Marianne Bigum, SF
