Who is responsible for the toxic substances?

Green Transition Denmark (RGO) and Politiken invite to a debate meeting on the PFAS scandal

When: Tuesday 28 February at 16.30-18.15
Where: Politikens Hus (Salen) and online

All over the country, PFAS has found its way into the bodies of unsuspecting citizens who have only recently become painfully aware that their crops and drinking water have been contaminated and potentially made them sick.

Thus began the author Morten Pope its very personal chronicle in Politiken about PFAS and drinking water.

Meet the author when the Green Transition Denmark and Politiken invite to a debate meeting about the PFAS scandal – the dangerous fluorine compounds, also called the eternal chemicals because they cannot be broken down in nature.

Today, only two of the substances are banned. The other many thousands of PFAS substances are still added to our environment and our bodies. So how do we turn off the tap?

There will also be presentations by two leading researchers in the field – Professor Philippe Grandjean, University of Southern Denmark and Associate Professor Xenia Trier, University of Copenhagen - as well as RGO's chemical expert Lone Mikkelsen.

Mai Villadsen (El) and Anne Paulin (S) also take part in the debate.

Climate editor Magnus Bredsdorff is the moderator of the event.

You can e.g. meet:
Morten Pope, author
Philippe Grandjean, professor of environmental medicine, University of Southern Denmark
Xenia Trier, associate professor, University of Copenhagen
Lone Mikkelsen, chemical expert, Green Transition Denmark

Tuesday 28 February at 16.30-18.15, doors open at 16.
The hall, Politikens Hus, Vestergade 28, København K

The event is free, but registration is required.
