Energy efficiency in buildings, companies and transport
The restructuring of the energy sector requires focus on many fronts, and consumption plays a major role here. We must use energy efficiently, both in our buildings, companies and in the public sector. Energy efficiency is important, because the green transition will cost up to DKK 160 billion. DKK more expensive towards 2050 if we do not reduce our energy consumption in parallel with the conversion to renewable energy sources and the expansion of the energy infrastructure.
The Energy Fund provides an annual subsidy for precisely this work. Focus on:
- Energy savings in buildings
- Energy savings in small and medium-sized enterprises
- The transport area
It is very much about supporting the "long, tough move" in the transition, which we do, among other things, with our collaborative and involving bridge-building role.
The areas each involve an effort where we gather knowledge, develop strategies and networks, mediate and create debate among politicians, the media and the public. We do this in dialogue with relevant actors and through participation in committees, working groups and together with relevant parties in Denmark and the rest of Europe.
With this grant from the Norwegian Energy Fund, the Green Transition Denmark can prioritize "the long, tough process", but also suddenly arising tasks as a result of new political initiatives, proposals from the government and the EU Commission, changes in our environment, good ideas and other events that requires quick response. All in all, it is something that supports the entire green transformation of the energy sector.
Project report
